Marina has recently been appointed as a board director, bringing with her years of experience from various board positions on the Calgary Board of Education parent councils. She has held the positions of President, Vice President, and Secretary on the councils at Acadia Elementary and David Thompson. Marina values the importance of being involved in supporting her family and community and has also served on the Calgary Board of Education's remuneration committee for a year.

Marina has lived in Acadia for 24 years, where she raised her daughter and found a supportive community. Currently, she works as a Realtor and a Licensed Practical Nurse at Rockyview Hospital.

Marina joined the board to give back to the community that has provided her with so much support over the years.
